MOUNTAIN BIKING SKILLS 201

DESCRIPTION: This will cover the basics of ropes as applicable to Adventure Racing such as:

• Night riding, and equipment.
• Navigating on the bike.
• Technical riding skills: choosing the best line.
• Safety: Don't be afraid, what goes up must come down.
• Maintenance: How to fix it during a race.
• Towing systems.
• Bike Racks and advanced adventure racing tactics.

DURATION: 2-3 hours

DATES: June19th and August 14th, 2005 1pm-4pm

LOCATION: Kailua Beach Park, Kailua, HI

COST: $25.00 per person

REQUIRED EQUIP: Mountain bike, Camel Back, Helmet, shoes and other equip necessary for riding. Used bikes will be available for purchase at the BOCA/ARH head quarters.
