Adventure racing is the fastest growing non traditional sport in the world. Since arriving in the US in 1995, it has grown at an annual rate of 275%. The demand for adventure racing is extremely high in Hawaii, where outdoor sports are abundant. Currently there are over 2000 multi-sport athletes in Hawaii, and thousands of outdoor enthusiasts to include; cyclists, runners, paddlers, hikers, and surfers.

Raul Boca and John Henderson have long since planned on organizing adventure racing opportunities in Hawaii. After competing in an adventure race in Maui an event which lasted 60 hours, and covered over 200 miles, Raul and John realized it was now the time. They created Adventure Race Hawaii to help others in Hawaii realize their potential as future adventure racers.

Raul Boca of Honolulu, founded Boca Hawaii, LLC, the largest multi sport training organization in the state and is the top multi sport coach in Hawaii. He has successfully directed hundreds of events over the past 8 years, including the popular “Mountain man” series. John S. Henderson of Kailua, is a multi sport veteran, and brings a wealth of experience with a military background, as well as sales and marketing, research and development, and management experience. Together they bring you Adventure Race Hawaii!
